| #2RPJesusApr 27, 2009 18:55:32 | A thimble. Really that's my answer to any miniature problem though... :whatsthis |
| #3rugsratApr 27, 2009 20:28:27 | I repainted a trogolodyte brute. It looks pretty spiffy actually. |
| #4green_girlApr 27, 2009 21:09:48 | Lizardfolk. Just paint 'em up. |
| #5ankApr 27, 2009 21:40:42 | Draconian. Kapak Draconian to be more specific, although I suppose Baaz would be more appropriate (lacking wings) if I could get my hands on one. (I appologize for the probable misspellings above). |
| #6positronicaApr 27, 2009 23:41:39 | Here's all the minis that function rather well as dragonborn. First off, here's all the pieces that are officially dragonborn. ![]() Female Dragonborn Rouge from Player Handbook Heroes ![]() Dragonborn Paladin from Demonweb ![]() Dragonborn Defender from Against the Giants ![]() Dragonborn Myrmidon from Against the Giants ![]() Dragonborn Fighter from War of the Dragon Queen (very popular mini) ![]() Baaz Draconian from Dragoneye (technically not a dragonborn, but I have a feeling that if Wizards ever does a 4e Dragonlance, the draconians will be ret-conned as dragonborn.) ![]() Kapak Draconian from Dragoneye (again, another draconian, but if you want to play a dragonborn with wings, its really the only option.) Next up are the minis that aren't dragonborn, but make very good stand-ins... ![]() Greenspawn Zealot from Night Below ![]() Dark Talon Champion from Unhallowed ![]() Redspawn Arcaniss from Unhallowed (personal favorite for a dragonborn caster) ![]() Greenspawn Sneak from Blood War (would make a decent dragonborn rogue) ![]() Blackspawn Exterminator from War of the Dragon Queen ![]() Poison Dusk Lizardfolk from War of the Dragon Queen (armed with a bow and has a sword on his back. Would make a good dragonborn ranger.) ![]() Whitespawn Hordeling from War of the Dragon Queen (rather small) ![]() Troglodyte Caption from Underdark (If you want a dragonborn in full plate, its a much cheaper alternative than the Dragonborn Fighter mini) ![]() Troglodyte Barbarian from Underdark ![]() Troglodyte from Dragoneye |
| #7CCSApr 28, 2009 13:13:52 | In addition to a few of the DDM draconians, I've got a few of the old pewter ones from Ral-Partha from back in the late '80s/early '90s. I've also got the RP figure of the saurial character (whatever his name was) from Azure Bonds. |
| #8erk_Apr 28, 2009 14:02:25 | About half of these, the ones that are not monsters or serpentine, work very well. You have to be willing to use pewter, or learn to paint (or perhaps do simple antiquing), though. That line includes a wizard (missing in the prepaints) as well as tons of really wicked fighters. |
