I just was curious as to what you guys were playing, and what characters you were playing as. i'm doing a total war campaign. A city is under attack by monsters that are controlled by an evil lich, and the PCs have to stop this siege. We started today, and it already became pretty epic. I'm DMing and playing a Minotaur warlord.

Game 1:  I'm DM'ing a group in Eberron, started in the Tower City of Sharn and is now moving toward other areas abroad.  Can't say too much here because my players frequent the forums :p

Game 2:  Playing as an Avenger Revenant in an online campaign with bald hermit DM'ing.  Lots of fun there, looking forward to tonight's session !  The Dolinator will deal out some pain !

Game 3:  Playing in a Shadowrun campaign.  Currently playing a pistols street samurai ninja who is actively looking to get some vengeance.  Currently on our 4th mission and loving it.

We are about to embark on the Badarse Dungeon Crushers attempt to overthrow the nine dungeon lords ruling the land. Will probably be the most brutal game ever. Expecting at least one pc death a week and very excited.

Please note: we are a special group that is anamolous in nature and does not represent the norm of DnD.

I'll be playing a Fighter|Cleric/Warden.

DMing - Scales of War with some modification (including restatting all monsters). Party is one session away from 14th level.

DMing - The LFR EPIC campaign. Group just hit 24th level.

DMing - An occasional group that runs the Steading of the Hill Giant chief.

Playing - The LFR Epic campaign. Group is 24th level. Our DM is one of the players in the above game, and we alternate play order, so sometimes I've already run the mod, sometimes she has.

Playing - A 6th level enchanter mage...thusfar the campaign seems to be set in the Chaos Scar (about which I know very little) but may be heading to Gardmore Abbey soon.

DMing - Heavily modified PoL setting, massive far realm invasion lead by things resembling Reapers crossed with Phyrexians. Level 19 currently, started at 1. Technically the invasion is starting in epic tier, everything so far has been build up. Used to be more abyssal plague based.

DMing - same setting, different part of th world, aimed at new players.

Player - Half-Orc Berserker Samurai, im effectively an Orc Blademaster. PoL setting, hasn't gotten far.

Player - human rogue built like a duelist, nauticial adventure.

DMing a fairly standard PoL (My favoirte setting by far) campaign, haven't started yet since I'm in high school and we are about to start school so it's better to wait until our schedules are normal.

DMing a Star Wars SAGA campaign, same group as the one above, and also haven't started yet for the same reason. It's in three acts that are different eras and will roughly compose 7ish levels, dpending on how long it takes to conclude them. (Well, the second arc will basically start its last adventure when their clone troopers turn on them....mwahahaha)

Playing in an online FR campaign, I'm an Elf Paladin of Corellon, with a bit of warlock thrown in.

About to start playing  in a PbP Star Wars SAGA  game set in the criminal underworld, betrayal and killing of other PCs is allowed and expected. (Another mwaha etc would be approriate here).

DMing:
Game 1 - Pbp homebrew game, set in a meritocratic nation of merchants and money-lenders that sees a potential war looming on the horizon; Party consists of a Halfling Monk, Tiefling Paladin, Changeling Psion, Human Ardent, Human Ranger, and Half-Orc Berserker. They are currently investigating reports of enemy agents infiltrating the slum districts of a prosperous port city, which has thrown the lower folk into a frenzy and drawn the attention of a morally ambiguous clergy devoted to a protector god

Playing:

Game 1 - RL game with my normal crew, set in Amn (Forgotten Realms). We have a human monk wishing to perfect his discipline and record his experiences for future generations to use (my character), a human warlord from Cormyr who has been living a sellsword's life for a few years following a disgraceful military discharge, an eladrin swordmage who is hunting down her recently deceased mentor's brother in order to set his estate in order, a human wizard who wishes to avenge her father's failed mercantile endeavors, and a tiefling warlock who is seeking a loophole in her pact with a ruthless fey spirit.

Game 2 - Pbp Keep on the Shadowfell w/ some variations; Playing an Elf Ranger alongside a Minotaur Barbarian, Gnome Psion, Human Fighter, Shadar-Kai Cleric, and Changeling Hexblade. About to confront Kalarel (or so it seems), having dealt with some of his undead abominations.

Game 3 - Pbp homebrew game; Playing a monotheist cleric from a recently-fallen kingdom, alongside two countrymen, a traditionalist knight and an amicable swordmage, and three enemies-turned-allies: a rough-and-tumble blackguard from a wintery region, a trickster rogue with a knack for spying, and a kind-hearted wizard who seeks peace between factions. Currently preparing for a tournament in one of the remaining hospitable areas following a natural disaster of epic proportions

Playing a dwarf fighter in a Harn game variant on Tomb of Horrors.
Playing a feylock in Scales of War
Running 2 versions of a game based on a game I ran back in 2nd ed. 500 years later, the world is different, but there are traces... I just haven't always spelled them out.
Running a Heroes of Shadow game to try to figure out how the options in that book work (answer: poorly).

Real Life:

  • Sharn-Based Eberron game. Lots of shenanigans because our party is wierd. A drow assassin who optimized stealth, a changeling psion who optimized bluff, a psychotic demonspawn dissowned heir of vadalis, a warforged from the PoL setting (long story), a kobold who thinks he's a dragonborn, and a hengeyokai artificer obsessed with alchemy. Good times to be had. I'm playing the changeling.

PbP:

  •  A pretty standard fantasy setting, albeit a homebrew one. Playing a desert wind drow from the desert.

  • A Game of Thrones inspired setting run by LordManshoon above me. This one literally just started, as in, the OOC thread went up an hour or so ago, so I'm not sure it counts. I'm playing a druid who never wanted to be an adventurer.

  • A setting I know very little about in which I am playing another lying changeling.

DMing: The Scales of War campaign. I run this one twice a month, on Friday nights. The group just hit 25th level and are 3 adventures away from completion.

DMing: A homebrew Dark Sun campaign (Lord of the Lost, on Epic words). This one is bi-weekly, on Saturday afternoons. The group hit 19th level a couple of weeks back, and are moving towards wrapping up the paragon level plots.

DMing: An Eberron campaign (currently using Seekers of the Ashen Crown). This one is once a month or so.

Playing: A homebrew maritime campaign (Tourmaline, on Epic Words). This one meets roughly every other Thursday night. I am playing a 10th level Vryloka Cosmic Sorcerer (-ess).

Playing: A homebrew 4e game one Friday a month. I am running an 11th level Tiefling Infernal Hexblade.

Playing: An Eberron campaign, one Friday a month. I am running a 3rd level Human Warpriest of Domination.

Oh, and I also DM for Encounters most every Wednesday at my FLGS! Whew! I am busy sometimes. But no complaints. I have dreamed for years about being able to game this much, so I'm pretty happy. And I'm not running out of material or losing interest in 4E at all. I plan on keeping this up as long as I have the strength.

Oh, jeez, so many.  I play PbP, and you can end up in a lot of games there.

DMing:  Ganoltir: The Age of Myth.  In a homebrew world where the gods created the mortals a mere 50 years ago, and many of the First Generation, who have personally met their gods, still walk the earth, a party of warriors and scholars have decided to take up the mantle of explorer and have set out to map the great and largely unknown world.

Playing: Beyond the Vale of Tears.  A Fury Blackguard based somewhat off of Zaraki Kenpachi.

Playing: Echoes of Creation.  A Two-Hander Fighter in mythological Greece.

Playing: Castle Greyhawk.  Krana, the half-orc Whirling Barbarian.

Playing: House of Names.  "Mouse", a hengeyokai(mouse) monk.

And several more, but I won't drawl on.
