| #1MithrusApr 02, 2009 1:13:31 | I was playing around with a level 16 dwarven BRV build when I noticed the absurdly large number of healing surges they end up with (high Con+Dwarven Durability). I don't have any direct experience yet in the paragon levels, but how would anyone (let alone a BRV fighter) use up 17+ surges per day!? I've looked around a little, but I can't find any good use for the excess surges I KNOW I'll end up with. Using a Healing Sash comes to mind, but even that is of limited use (max charges of 5). I believe clerics have some ability to shift surges between characters (so I've been told), and other leader classes might have a similar powers. Suggestions? |

A Sacrificial Weapon can also let you use a surge per day to prevent damage to someone. Healer's Sash isn't a bad idea, either. Coif of Focus might be really good as well, and the anti-stun is nice as you need your actions to get the most from your marks... |

Your leader can use three healing minor action powers per fight. These will most likely go to you, if you play your character aggressively. Some won't, but there are other miscellaneous ways you can use surges, such as between fights. With four fights a day you could use around 16 healing surges without that much difficulty, if the fights are tough and if you take everything to the edge in terms of your own safety. You also might NOT use all those surges, but don't automatically assume you'll have plenty of extras. |

Using a Healing Sash comes to mind, but even that is of limited use (max charges of 5). IIRC, the sash can have five charges at a time (starting with one for free each day) but can have charges added at-will, and can only use one charge per encounter. If you really think you've got too many surges, get several sashes and spread them around the party, then charge them up as they run dry. You could also play around with elixers and potions that use surges, few of which normally see much use. Just don't be surprised when when your DM responds to your profligate spending of surges by having you run into a few mobs of wights or forsaken shells or somesuch. Those surge-drain monsters will tap you dry in no time, and BRV doesn't do a thing to stop it. |

Or if you don't have it already...get a Bloodclaw weapon. Why not go to town and take 4 damage with every single attack roll you can? |
