Where to find a pipe??

May 01, 2008 14:19:07 Ok so just as it sounds. Im trying to find the price and weight of a pipe. To smoke, tobacco. And i have the PHB and thats it. If its in anyother book could you post the price and weight for me? Thank you for anyone who could help.:D

May 01, 2008 14:50:33 I checked the Arms and Equipment Guide, which I figured was the best place to look. It gives a price for tobacco (5sp/lb), but I can't find a listing for a pipe.

If it's not a ceremonial pipe, it's probably of negligible weight. The price would probably depend on the degree of artistry that goes into it, and the number of people who actually smoke.

I read it in, but there was a guy with a pipe that he *didn't* smoke from, because it was one of ... less than a score of pipes left, because the tree they were made from was gone by the time of the story. The pipes themselves were supposed to enhance the flavor of the tobacco (or whatever it was, don't think they used tobacco) was used. For just a simple hand-carved wooden pipe, I'd agree with the 3 cp.

Musical instruments fall under the same thought process. Yet in the PHB you will find prices and stats for them.
A masterworked instrument adds price. I find the explanation of clay, common and fancy a good guide. You can add platinum and diamonds to toilet paper if you really want. You are a retard to do so but I'm sure someone somewhere has done it.
