Which character to play?

I'm an alt-o-holic, and character design and creation are my favorite things in most games. Only problem is when it comes time to use the new characters.

Little back story, I'm playing 3.5. my old character, the "rogue" of the party was a swordsage lupin with a few houserule edits to allow him to be the parties rogue as we didn't have one. Our "tank" is pretty much a coward who instantly tries to run from combat to shoot things with a bow instead of.. well tanking. Which forced my character and our bard to take in the last battle. Needless to say, I was not very well equipped to be a tank and died when I got hit by two boars at the same time. (Only 9 hp, 14 ac at level 2. Tank took more damage in the first round than the druid and I have, and was still up.)

So I'm building a tank now, and have two characters to use. (well three.. maybe.)

The first is my telekentic mage. Uses spells like mage hand, shield bearer, tune of the dancing weapon to cause items to float around him, almost as if a poltregiest was there. He uses the battle sorcerer varient and has one level of duskblade. (to gain access to all weapons.) and his race is lupin.

I'm allowed to use flaws and traits, So I've got a few feats. One presenting in complete arcane near the end that gives you an extra 2nd level spell slot which I used for Tune of the dancing weapon (Gives a weapon the dancing property for 4 rounds) then another feat in a Feat book we have that gives you the ability to cast a first level divination spell at will. Currently is used for masters touch. And lastly is quick draw.

My problem so far with him is that I don't have a weapon to use for masters touch that really justifies it at this time. I'm not allowed to use firearms, and I'm trying to stay away from whips and only use 1h weapons. But even through the couple dozen issues of dragon i have, and the large collection of books our group has I can't find any weapon that says "Use me!".

Second character is my necromancer sorcerer, who is going to be a palemaster. Battle sorc, and uses the domain in the compleate champion. Lupin as well. Feats include Tombtainted soul, Member of Bronze Sodias (gets religion as class skill and can wield dieties weapon, scythe) and knowledge religion focus.

I do want to use him, but since I'm not just going to be primary tank; I'm going to be the only "tank" i just see him getting banged up really badly.

Lastly the third character I've only just began to think about uses another Savage coast race, the Tortle. +3 Natural AC and +2 con make him sound really great. (Even though he is going to be moving at the speed of stopped) Basically load him up on everything that gives an AC bonus. make commets about the tortle club. Not one I'm too serious of playing.

So does anyone have suggestions of the first two characters? Like ways to make them work, things to look out for ect? maybe a vote of which one should be my new character?

I'd recommend the Pale Master.  If possible, try and make/buy an item that allows you to summon a few undead or just conjure them up yourselves.  They won't be nearly as effective as a PC playing a tank role, but if they can soak up a few hits then as long as you have enough power you should be able to sweep through the encounters.  In one of my campaigns there was a necro who made a modified bag of tricks so it'd pull out undead animals, this party didn't really have a primary tank either but the hits being absorbed by the undead usually freed up enough time for them to deal heavy damage if not outright win the battle.
