(Yes, I am DMing and playing two characters while my friend plays two characters.) I'm thinking about just making a cleric and dropping the warlord and ranger. Will a three character group work like this? |

For example: a party without a controller should not see too many minions. A party without a leader should not see too many fights above its level. For this party, since it lacks a striker, I wouldn't use elites very often. That is my take on it anyways. |

Without a striker fights might last a round or two longer because of damage output, but overall the healing, utility, and AoE abilities the group has is enough to offset any lack of damage. If you are really concerned about the lack of a striker then consider having the fighter take a two handed weapon, or perhaps multi-class into ranger for the Hunter's Quarry and a few heavy hitting ranger attacks down the road. I think you would be fine. |
